The exhibition rooms of the Malchow local history museum “Kiek in un wunner di” are located in the former wheelwright’s workshop, a short distance from the cultural center. The exhibition includes, among other things, an old style classroom, a complete shoemaker’s workshop and a display on the history of washing clothes. Curious objects such as the Tefifon or the cobbler’s ball are demonstrated by the museum staff, who have more than a few stories to tell about the exhibits.
Visitors of all ages can test their proficiency at writing on a slate with a stylus, and also browse through old school books. The little ones can play and paint in the children’s room. And anyone from the age of six can experience a lesson like it was 100 years ago.
